Where your riffs live, what happens when a subscription ends, what Riffage collects, and how to make it forget you. Short version: your files are yours, on your disk, and everything below is about the optional cloud on top.

Where your riffs live

A vault is a normal folder on your computer. The audio, the DI takes, the attachments: real files you can open without Riffage. Nothing touches the cloud until you switch backup on for a vault, and switching it off leaves every local file where it was.

When a subscription ends

The moment a subscription ends, its vault becomes a free vault. Everything already synced stays synced, new invitations pause, and the space allowance drops from 50 GB to the free 3 GB.

If the vault holds more than 3 GB at that point:

The riffs on your computer, and on every bandmate's computer, are untouched by any of this. Resubscribing during the 90 days stops the clock and restores the vault's full space.

Deleting things yourself

Riffs delete from the app. A whole vault deletes from its settings, and if you own its cloud copy, that goes too: audio, shared library, invitations, all of it, at the moment you confirm. Members of a shared vault can leave it the same way.

What Riffage collects

As little as it can get away with. The app sends a random install id (never tied to your account), one ping per launch, and automatic crash reports that include a short slice of the app's own log. The full log file only ever leaves your machine when you press the button yourself. Feedback sends exactly what you type. The website counts page views without cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner to click.

Your email address exists in our systems for signing in, receipts, and vault invitations. It is not given to anyone else, and there is no advertising or third-party analytics anywhere in the product.

Making us forget you

Deleting your vaults from the app removes their cloud data on the spot. The account itself deletes from its own settings in the app: one confirmation cancels any subscriptions, deletes every cloud vault you own, ends your membership in shared ones, and removes the account. The riffs on your computer stay.

Prefer email, or lost access to the app? Write to support@riffage.app from the address on the account and we do the same within 30 days. If you are in the EU, either path is your GDPR erasure request and we treat it as one.
